In the new Computer Science curriculum, students get a solid, thorough grounding in basic and core computing skills and then have the option to follow any of 5 paths to deeper understanding and professional capability. Each path is built upon the expertise and interests of the CS faculty, providing practical, focused guidance through an important area of the vast landscape of computer science. The students end their journeys with a capstone project that embraces and builds on the core computing, analytic, communication, and teamwork skills they have developed along the way. On their journeys, they also have the opportunity to pick up general and elective knowledge, the integration of which gives them necessary seasoning and flexibility. Students are prepared for the diversity, inevitable change, but continued opportunity that they will encounter in the world of IT and computing.
