Overview:
The rapid advancement of technology, especially the widespread use of information and communication technology, has significantly increased interdependencies among diverse business sectors as well as government agencies. The ever-changing nature of international geo-politics, business environments and customer expectations is constantly creating new pressures on business organizations and governments to improve their systems security against malicious attacks. The focus of this workshop is on time-tested best practices, approaches and strategies for improving the security of organizations' information systems. It will also offer an excellent networking opportunity for the attendees.

Intended Audience:
Business continuity practitioners, government administrators, IT managers, information security professionals, software developers, system administrators, and IT students.

Directions to Campus and Accomodations:
From north of Charlotte via I-85: Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd). Merge onto Harris, go 1 mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; campus is 1 mile on left.
From north of Charlotte via I-77: Take exit 18 (Harris Blvd). Turn left onto Harris and go 7 miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; campus is 1 mile on left.
From south of Charlotte via I-85: Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd). Turn right onto Harris and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; campus is 1 mile on left.
From south of Charlotte via I-77: Take I-77N to I-85N and follow above directions via I-85.
From east of Charlotte via US 74: Turn right onto Harris Blvd, and travel 9 miles to UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49 exit. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; campus is 1 mile on left.
From Concord area via US 29: Turn left onto Harris Blvd and go 1/2 mile to UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49 exit. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; campus is 1 mile on left.
 
Parking near Barnhardt Student Activity Center:
Cone Center Decks: Once you reach the campus, go to the main entrance of UNC Charlotte. Take Broadrick Blvd. to the left at the fork, and continue to circle the University, until you reach University Rd. Make a left on University Rd. After a short distance, you will see Cone Center parking decks to your right. Make a right and follow directions for parking.
West Deck: Enter the campus from the south entrance and go down the hill on Cameron Blvd. After you cross University Rd. you will see west deck parking on your right.
